Italy: Palermo & Monreale, Sicily

Sicily City

April 8, 2019

We are in Palermo, Sicily in Italy and we are doing a quest.  We go on a bus and go to different places and have to find clues in a little notebook.  With your clues in your notebook you have to try to find the areas where a sword might be.  And along the way, we climbed a tall staircase and stopped for lunch here in a town called Monreale when we got a one hour break from the quest.

Here is my pizza review in Monreale, Sicily.

Then we went back on the bus and headed to the cathedral.  Here are my pictures of the cathedral.

Now we are going back on the bus to the outdoor market.  Here’s one of the of the interesting foods we found in the market.  It’s called arancina.

Sicily Arranchina

Here is my review of the arancina.

We completed the quest and now we are going for dessert at a gelato and cannoli place.  We were trying to get there as quickly as possible because it was pouring.  Here is my gelato review.

In the market, we found these Italian colored glasses that were good for me because I didn’t bring sunglasses.

Then after our gelato on the walk back to our cruise, the MSC Divina, we saw signs that we could totally understand.  Not like in China.  On the left is a picture of me in China with signs I can’t read.  And on the right, one of the signs I can’t read but the other one I can read.

I thought Sicily was pretty cool and their food for the most part was pretty good.  We’ll have more reviews coming out hopefully within a month.  Our next blog will be about Cagliari, Sardinia in Italy.  Bye.
